33539 - 33979  440 km It was time to stop being lazy and get going again. I packed my gear on the bike and Mirco his stuff on his loaned bike. This was only a short one night trip before heading to Sydney to see the fireworks. Martin was about to fly to Santiago de Chile early next morning so it was time to say goodbye The road we took was very nice. Not that much in scenery wise but as a motorcycle road. Nice curves and corners most of the way. We stopped for a lunch in a biker bar on the way and rode 35 km of gravel road when taking a shortcut. The night we spent on a camping area behind Wolombi Tavern. It seemed they were supposed to have fireworks there too in new year's eve. Lots of campers arrived at the same night as we did and even more the next morning. We only had a short trip to go in the morning to get back to Toronto. During the day we washed some laundry and organized things in the internet. In the afternoon we took a train to Sydney.

32532 - 33539  1007km In the morning of boxing day it was time to hit the road. I packed my gear, said goodbye to Heinrich and Anna and got going. My next destination was the capital of Australia - Canberra. Logically it's located in "Australian Capital Territory". Similar thing as "District of Columbia in the US. Naturally I didn't take the shortest route but an extremely beautiful Alpine Way that Steve suggested me when we watched the map at his place. The views were amazing as always on these smaller roads... Finally I got to Canberra. Terry was waiting for me at the highest hill in Canberra Arboretum. Terry and Janelle are going to take a trip to the US in late summer and we had great discussions about gear and plans and everything. In the morning I rode with Terry to get a new clutch cable to Janelle's bike and then they rode with me for a while towards north. My original plan was to ride all the way to Toronto

This Christmas was different compared to any other Christmas I've experienced during my life so far. Staying in a tent on a camping ground in a national park. No traditional Finnish Christmas meal, no presents, no Santa Claus (Heinrich has a beard of a Santa but wrong colour). Christmas eve... I prepared pancakes for the breakfast. A lot of pancakes. It took quite a lot of time but it was worth it. I took a ride to the village to make our Christmas dinner shopping which ment mostly meat. At the parking lot I met other bikers. While chatting with a guy an Estonian guy appeared with his friend. He's been living in Australia for five years and according to his own words has seen "only a little part of the trails you can ride here". It seems Annie's type is quite rarely seen here because the people really ask a lot of questions about it and say: "oh, this is the old model of Africa Twin. I'd love to have one but they are so expensive." After the s
