Days 85-86 - plane - Christchurch - Nelson - Arthur's Pass

Kuva
The morning was even more tired than the previous one. I didn't manage to sleep in the plane. I landed in Christchurch very early in the morning. In the plane I had a nice chat  with Chris, who was visiting his son in Australia with his wife. He was the first New Zealander I met and I have to say - the first impression was very good. Second and third impressions were nice too. Allan picked me up at the airport and took me to Kiwi Motorcycle Rental where I did the necessary paperwork with Andrea and off I went with a brand new Suzuki V-strom.  I felt terribly tired and to be honest I can't remember some parts between Christchurch and Nelson. But I got to Colin's place in one piece and alive. I found Colin at advrider.com site's tent space discussion. In that discussion people offer their gardens or spare rooms for travelers tobstay. It's a great way to meet new people from all over the world. I had long and fruitful discussions with Colin and his family. My impre

Days 83-84 Singapore-plane-Melbourne-plane

It was time to get going again. On Tuesday I met Mirco in a park. We listened some music and did some planning for Australia. In the afternoon I took a subway to the airport and started my seven hour flight to Melbourne in a very tight seat with no sleep. We passed three time zones and landed half past six in the morning. I can't remember when I would have been more tired. Originally I had a plan to go to a shopping mall nearby but I just didn't have any energy for that. Most of the day I sat either in the depature hall or in the park bench outside the terminal. I watched some videos and even managed to sleep somehow for maybe an hour. There's a reason why Jetstar flights arevso cheap. No servise, nothing to eat, tight seats. Even entertaining system costs 10$ extra. But 7 hour flight for 150$ isn't that bad... Later in the evening was a check in time for the next flight to Christchurch, New Zealand. Nice! Another night flight...

Days 80-82 Kuala Lumpur - Singapore

On Saturday it was time to leave Kuala Lumpur behind. Getting to the airport was extremely easy with monorail and KLIA Xpress train. At the airport I met an Australian guy who had missed his flight a week earlier and decided to stay for another week in KL. Not a bad decision I'd say. The flight (again at the emergency exit seat) was about 45 minutes so I definitely had no time to get bored. Singapore - the pearl of the Java Sea! Business center of the area and the southernmost point of continental Asia. Busy, crowded and known for very strict laws about chewing gum. At the same time it's relaxed, friendly and beautiful city. Getting to the city from the airport took about half an hour with a normal subway and easiest way was to buy a normal MRT card for 10$ which already included 5$ worth of traveling. My hostel was in Chinatown and it was a perfect location for me as I wanted to as much as possible with as little money as possible. In the first evening I went to see Mari
