Days 184 - 189 Pine Bluff - De Queen - Dallas - Austin
As I was feeling a bit sick I took morning in Pine Bluff really slow and easy. I started at around nine and headed to a motorcycle shop I found nearby. I noticed a couple of days ago my rear tire was getting slick and I wanted to have a new one.
Cycle and Marine Supercenter was great. They had suitable tire on stock and as one of the mechanics was missing they got someone else to do the job. Absolutely fantastic service. If anyone needs service near Pine Bluff Arkansas visit Cycle and Marine Supercenter.
The mechanic said I could have continued with the old tire all the way to Austin but I didn't feel comfortable with it anymore. It had worn a bit flat in the middle so I could feel the "edges" when taking corners. With new tire Rosie feels a lot better.
Riding through southern Arkansas was pretty uneventful. The views were nice but nothing spectacular. Small villages and towns, hills, rivers etc. In the afternoon I arrived in a town called De Queen. One junction with McDonald's and Burger King, couple of gas stations and motels. Nothing more...
By the way. I happened to see a list of the most dangerous cities in the US. It seems I'm quite good in visiting the dangerous places like Memphis - Tennessee, Birmingham - Alabama, Miami Beach - Florida etc. According to my quick glimpse I've at least riden through ten out of 25.
The motel in De Queen was nice and cheap. Usually the cheapest ones are dirty or some other way terrible. Usually I use booking.com because it is so easy to see ratings and reviews of the place. When the hotel rates more than 7/10 it is normally okay place to spend a night. Among these road side motels I've been using it is extremely rare to find ratings over 8.
I rode to Dallas to see Virpi and Curtis - a friend of a friend of mine and her husband . Such a great and funny couple. Crazy in a good way.
On Monday I saw the place J.F. Kennedy was assassinated and a huge eye. I also saw Kennedy memorial but I couldn't quite figure out the idea of that huge cubicle made of concrete.
After a couple of days in Dallas it was time to wave goodbye to my new great friends Virpi and Curtis. I had such a blast.
I took a ride to Austin. It is about time to sell Rosie, pack everything and fly home. But before my flight I have some places to see.

Texas style. Junctions are huge
The place where JFK got shot
A point where the second bullet hit him
JFK memorial
There's always somebody watching
Second floor from the top on right hand corner is the window where Lee Harvey Oswald took the shots. If he was the one shooting.
Nice swimming pool
